Punkin Huntin

Today we went to my friends awesome pumpkin patch. We took Ellie to get some cute pictures for Halloween. One big problem though, we could not get her to look at the camera or smile for the life of us! Oh well, she's just such a grump in public and way too distracted now-a-days with everything that's going on. All she wanted to do was eat the hay!

Here's some of the fun photos...

Disregard Ryan's girlie glasses, he had to borrow mine

 Her first hay ride

 All she wanted to do...

 Was eat

And eat

And eat the hay.

Oh it gets better...

wait for it...

Yep, it's official. She's a hick.

I highly doubt you've ever seen a grumpier looking baby

At least she's a cute, grumpy baby.

The lone picture of her looking at the camera

Ellie aslo got to put her professional petting skills to practice.

Not even a moment of hesitation, she went right for it.

No big deal, my dog is this size and I ride him all the time.

Again, I appologize for the picture overload. But I truly can't help myself!

Almost 6 months...

But I couldn't wait to post these.

We had a little photo shoot today. It feels like this girl changes so much from week to week and I just have to document it!

Ryan's mom's friend sent us this adorable little hat. It fits her perfect right now and it's the perfect season for it too!

I think every little girl needs a sailor dress. Ryan's brother Sean gave us this for Christmas when Ellie was still in my belly! Now she finally fits in it!

And here's a little Halloween sneak peak...

I thought I'd be creative and take her outside since it was so nice and warm today. She was way too overwhelmed with all the leaves though.

And then she got upset.
"But I don't want to be a pumpkin for Halloween mom!"

Ok, that's better.

Really, all she wanted to do was eat all of the leaves. I couldn't get one decent pic, this was probably the only one you can actually see her eyes in. Oh well.

Like Father Like Daughter

Ellie and Ryan. These two just crack me up. I think they look a lot alike and Ellie's even starting to show sparks of Ryan's personality too. Save me! She just loves her dad so much, she always has to be watching him. Every time she catches his eye, she puts on a huge smile and squeals. She has quite an adventurous personality coming out already. She always has to be in the action, even if it means missing her nap. She is always on the go and playin hard. I think a little mini Ryan on our hands. Everyone keeps asking to see some pictures of him as a babe, so here are some. I will have to dig some of mine up.

New Experiences

Ellie's experienced some new firsts these last few weeks. We had dinner up at the cabin a few weeks ago and it started snowing! We took her outside and she lit up seeing her first snow!

For the last week, Ellie has been sleeping in her own room, in her crib! It has been an adjustment for both of us, but I think she's starting to get the hang of it. We had to stop swaddling her too because she was starting to roll over in it and now she pretty much only sleeps on her belly. No matter how many times I put her back on her back, she's right back to her tummy within seconds. And not only is she sleeping that way, she sleeps with her face smashed flat to the mattress. The first few nights of this, I was a nervous wreck, checking on her constantly. Ellie's also been a little stinker and started waking up every hour or two during the night. She's been doing this for over a month now and I can't figure out what the deal is. Mama needs her sleep!

Ellie has had so much fun exploring the world! She loves to get out and go! I think she's going to have quite the adventourous personality. We went to Cabela's the other day and she was fascinated with all the animals! She was such a big girl and got to sit up in the cart for the first time and watch all the surroundings go by. I can't believe that she can already do this! Stop growing!!!

On Friday, Ellie tried real food for the first time! We were shocked with how well she did. She gobbled it right up like she had been eating for months! We were totally expecting her to spit it everywhere and only actually eat a few bites. There was hardly any mess at all since she gobbled down every bite. Here's the video of her first time eating.
