Baby Dunlop

Ryan and I celebrated our birthdays this week together. We got to share our best gift of all today when we went in for a surprise ultrasound to see our baby for the first time! For those of you who haven't heard, yep we're havin a baby! I'm due April 25th and I am just in the last week my my first trimester. I have a friend at work who hooked us up with getting an ultrasound done, so I surprised Ryan for his birthday last night and told him we get to see our baby today! It was so amazing to see it for the first time, we are so excited. It was jumping around like crazy inside, it was so fun to watch it and see how lively it is. Here's some pics to share...

Yoda?

So we finally were able to see a decent angle and he told us he thought it looks like a girl!
Then he saw this pic and said it's definitely a girl!

And then this pic came up, humm... Maybe not a girl?

We're gona try again in a month and see what it looks like then. So it's undecided what we're having but we are so grateful that we have a healthy, bouncy, baby so far!

Mexico

Well, we didn't take as many pictures as I thought, and we actually don't even have one of us together. Haha, oh well. We still had a lot of fun and it was really relaxing. We spent a lot of time at the beach, going to ruins and enjoying the thick Mexican culture and food.

Wind Rivers

We got back Monday night from our backpacking trip in the Wind Rivers in Wyoming. Ryan's dad planned the trip for us to hike to Stough Creek Basin were we spent a few days at our own personal lake! We had lots of fun and the dogs enjoyed it so much. We figured we hiked about 20 miles total. It was a pretty good hike uphill the first day, but it was totally worth it once we were there.

Here's some pictures...

 Remember this?
Well, after nine months, we have identified the villain. Turns out it was the mean old man that lives right there, to the right of our tree!!! Yesterday, our neighbor who lives across the street from us watched this old man walk over to our yard early in the morning, look around for anyone watching and then snipped about six of my beautiful roses off of the bush in our front yard. I worked yesterday and Ryan called me and told me that our neighbor told him what he saw. I was FURIOUS! First of all, we only have one rosebush, and it is beautiful when it blooms. The spring roses came and most of them have died off and now there is another phase blooming and I had been waiting all week for these roses to open up. They finally did, but I had to work all weekend so I didn't get to enjoy them. Now they are all gone and there are no roses on the bush now. I was angry for the rest of the day and something in the back of my mind kept telling me this is the person that stole our peaches! Really, if you have the nerve to snip ALL of someones blooming roses off of their babied rose bush, you would definitely have the nerve to steal ALL of their peaches too. I think the reason why I was so angry about him stealing my roses is that Ryan and I put so much effort into our yard. I prune and weed and plant and we hand water it every day. We have been trying really hard to make it look nice. This mean old man sees us out there all the time working our butts off to make it look that way it does.

So after stewing over it all day I was so ready to come home and confront him. Ryan and I went over to his house and I asked him why he stole our roses. He admitted to it and believe me I gave him an earful. Then I said, "You took our peaches too, didn't you!" and he admitted to it! I was in disbelief. He is an old Hispanic man and doesn't speak much English, but he definitely got the point that if he ever comes into our yard again for any other reason then to bring me roses or peaches, he will be in trouble.

To be honest, I kind of felt bad afterword because I have never yelled at an old man before. I am still baffled as to why a person would do such a thing, especially to the neighbors that you have lived next to for three years and who are always friendly to you. He tried to give me the roses back that he took and I told him to keep them. Now he can look at them every day and think about how rude he is.

Catch Up

Feels like the last few months for us have been centered around trying to catch up with life. Things have definitely changed around here. I've been trying to get myself together to bring you a post, but I've just been at a loss for words. So here's some pictures instead.

Ryan's been working on building this doghouse, it's not quite finished yet.

Here's what we woke up two a few weeks ago.

As you can see our life pretty much consists of work and dogs. Ryan and I are both plugging away at full time work and school as well as running our striping business. We definitely stay busy.

For the holiday weekend, we packed up the dogs and went to Hyattville to visit Ryan's parents. It was nice to see everyone and get out of town for a few days. We are getting excited for our Wind Rivers backpacking trip in August with Ryan's parents. We got the dogs backpacks so they can carry their own food and we don't have to! Recon wears his with pride, he walks around like he's on a mission.

Hope everyone has a great summer!
