Ryan's parents came to visit this week. Ellie had lots of fun playing with them and they were even lucky enough to babysit a few times while I was at work! Ellie hit a big milestone while they were here too. She started mimicking! Here's a video of the first time...

Welcome Fall!
Fall is finally here and I couldn't be happier. This is my absolute most favorite time of year. We were able to spend a little time together this weekend and we had lots of fun going to the Farmers Market and to Oktoberfest. Something bout this time of year that makes us want to get out do things! Maybe it's cause it's just not so dang hot anymore. Anyways, we had a lot of fun!
Ellie has been rolling and trying to army crawl like crazy! I had her on her blanket in the middle of the room and I walked away for not even a whole minute and I came back to find her like this! She was so entrigued by the curtains.
Ellie has also become fasinated with Recon and Ember. She really likes to watch them and she reaches out to pet them too. It's pretty cute.

St George and other Shenanagins
For the holiday weekend we got to get out of town and go with our cousins Maddi and Michon to their beautiful home in St. George (courtesy of my Aunt Mill and Uncle Chuck)! We had so much fun just chillin, playing in their new pool and eating delicious food.
We got Ellie this awesome floaty and she loved it! She pretty much just chilled in it lookin like a little baby mob boss.
Ellie and Ryan have been getting quite close when I'm gone on the weekends. I'm so glad that they can have such great bonding time...
Even when it results in me getting texts with pics like this.
Although Ryan is color blind, I did give him a lesson in matching when I got home.

4 Months!
Ellie is four months old today! She is getting so big! She is so smiley and happy most of the time and she hardly ever cries. She does like to put on her serious grump face when we go out in public or in big groups of people. That's ok though, I get all her cute laughs and smiles all to myself! She's been rolling over, grabbing and playing with her toys, cooing lots and lots and she absolutely loves us to help her stand. I think it makes her feel really accomplished. She loves when we sing to her and play peek-a-boo. She's pretty much grown out of all her 3 month outfits and is filling up her 3-6 month ones nicely.
Other news...
It's been a month since I started back to work full time. It's been an adjustment, but it's working out. It has been a little stressful with having her go to a different babysitter each day, so I'm really trying to find just one babysitter to come to our home. I think it will be better for both of us. So if any of you know someone who would be interested let me know.
Ryan finished school and now has a bachelors degree in construction management! He also was hired on as a field engineer at Geneva Rock, which he is pretty much doing the same thing he's been doing all along, but with a lot more responsibility and perks.
Summer is coming to a close and I am excited for the cooler weather. It has been pretty rainy lately and I love it! Also, our peaches are almost ready for pickin and I hope we don't have any greedy theifs around this year. I can't wait to enjoy them. I'm thinking peach cobbler.
And now on to this little peach...

Precious Day
Today was such a special day. Our little Ellie was given her name and a very special blessing by her father. We had a very intimate gathering with our close loved ones. Everyone shared such special thoughts that they had written for her and that she can keep in her memory book. My heart is so overwhelmed with joy. We love this little angel of ours so much. Ellie was able to wear this beautiful antique dress that her Nana Tawna bought so many years ago in Ireland. We know that she is looking down on her now, so happy that she could wear it. We knew she was with us all today.
This makes her look like she could be 100 years old!
