Mission Impossible
Ellie is still asleep, and Ember woke me up to go outside, so I'd thought I write a quick post. Dang dog. My bed felt extra comfy this morning too. I feel like Sandra Bullock in "The Net", trying to sneakily download the info off of the computer before the bad guy catches her. Execpt, the bad guy in this scenario is my baby.
I just had to take a few moments to share my exciting news. I am FINALLY done with my bachelors!!!
It has taken me quite a long time, so you can understand my enthusiam. I graduated with my associates nursing nearly 6 years ago now. I told myself that I was only going to take a semester off because I was starting a new job and getting married. Well, it took about three years to finally get motivated to start school again. Then, after I started things were prolonged becasue mom passed away, I took on a supervisor position at work and I had a baby. I only had one class left to take a few weeks before Ellie was born, but I decided to drop it last minute because I was worried I wouldn't pass. A year later, I finally took it and now I am done!
ABORT: OPERATION SLEEPING BABY
A few months ago, I also took the CCRN, a critical care nurse exam that is kind of a big deal in my profession. This gave me some credits for school as well as a boost in my resume. I was really excited to pass this because I was sure I was going to fail. I didn't have a lot of time to study for it.
Anyways, I am really exctied to be done. I have hopes of applying for grad programs this fall. I haven't quite made a decision yet as to where. It will most likely be either the U of U DNP program or else Westminister's CRNA. We'll just have to wait and see where life takes us.
