Hawaii

Ryan is out training for his triathlon and I was summoned by the babe at 5 this morning. Perfect opportunity for me to update this outdated blog of mine.

We were in Hawaii last week. We had an awesome time and it was so much fun to see all of my family. We got all the little girlies together for the first time ever and it was a bunch of chaotic insane fun! Ellie absolutely loved playing with all her cousins! It was the time of her life.

Gettin on the airplane. Ellie walked down the isle waiving at everyone.

She was crazy the whole ride, not the highlight of the trip. (I spy a Hattie bug)

First time on the beach
She was not very fond of the sand at first. She didn't want to step in it.
And she didn't like it on her hands either.

She warmed up to it pretty quick though and was having lots of fun in no time. I just couldn't get her to look at the camera.

Waiting for the train to come at the Dole Pineapple Plantation

We went to the Disney Hotel next to ours for breakfast one morning. I didn't think Ellie would care much, but she was so excited to meet the characters. She loved Mini Mouse!

On the walk back from the Disney Breakfast we were caught in a downpour. We were soaking wet. Ellie was so tired from all the excitement she feel asleep in the middle of it. Such sweet pictures with dad.

Bunch o stuff

Lately, we've been having lots of fun and enjoying the beautiful weather. Here's some pics from the past month, including some bday ones.

Today we went to the park for a picnic. Of course she had to spit a blackberry on herself right before I took our picture.

Mission Impossible

Ellie is still asleep, and Ember woke me up to go outside, so I'd thought I write a quick post. Dang dog. My bed felt extra comfy this morning too. I feel like Sandra Bullock in "The Net", trying to sneakily download the info off of the computer before the bad guy catches her. Execpt, the bad guy in this scenario is my baby.

I just had to take a few moments to share my exciting news. I am FINALLY done with my bachelors!!!

It has taken me quite a long time, so you can understand my enthusiam. I graduated with my associates nursing nearly 6 years ago now. I told myself that I was only going to take a semester off because I was starting a new job and getting married. Well, it took about three years to finally get motivated to start school again. Then, after I started things were prolonged becasue mom passed away, I took on a supervisor position at work and I had a baby. I only had one class left to take  a few weeks before Ellie was born, but I decided to drop it last minute because I was worried I wouldn't pass. A year later, I finally took it and now I am done!

ABORT: OPERATION SLEEPING BABY

A few months ago, I also took the CCRN, a critical care nurse exam that is kind of a big deal in my profession. This gave me some credits for school as well as a boost in my resume. I was really excited to pass this because I was sure I was going to fail. I didn't have a lot of time to study for it.

Anyways, I am really exctied to be done. I have hopes of applying for grad programs this fall. I haven't quite made a decision yet as to where. It will most likely be either the U of U DNP program or else Westminister's CRNA. We'll just have to wait and see where life takes us.
